TRACK SYSTEM

In today's sport surfacing market, engineers and owners have many choices when determining surfacing for running track installations. Systems may be comprised of acrylic latex polymers and sheet goods manufactured from man made rubber, but the proven systems over the last ten years have been manufactured with polyurethane resins. The polyurethane resin systems comprised of different components in the overall track system to meet certain criterion. These parameters include: weather conditions, color availability, texture, quickness or track, durability and ease of maintenance.

Fortunately for the designer, engineer or owner, VITRITURF manufactures four different polyurethane systems to meet any of the criteria specified. VITRITURF Track Systems (VTS) are available in Structural Spray System, Black Mat System, Full Pure System and Sandwich System.

The Structural Spray System is the most popular utilized today because of its competitive pricing and long history of success. The System consists of a base mat machine applied to a minimum of 8mm followed by a two component pigmented polyurethane/rubber mix spray applied in two coats. The Structural Spray System is the most commonly utilized track surface in the world today. The System offers a fast track which is spike resistant and extremely durable.

The Black Mat System is very economical. The System consists of Black EPDM mixed with a proprietary polyurethane binder which is machine applied to a minimum thickness of IOmm. The Black Mat System offers the superior characteristics of a polyurethane resin track with the economical savings involved in a single application system.

The Full Pure System

The Full Pure System is identical to the Black Mat System but it is offered in 10 different colors. A major attribute of the Full Pure System is its water permeability. There is no evidence of standing water when this system is properly installed. Logos can be installed as an integral part of the track surfacing.

The Sandwich System is the premier polyurethane track system. The Sandwich System is installed in multiple applications. First a base mat of Black EPDM/VITRITURF Binder is mixed and machine applied to a minimum thickness of 8mm. Once cured, a highly sophisticated intermediate coat is squeegeed onto the base mat assuring that all the pores of the mat are sealed. The VITRITURF Sandwich System Finish coat, a 100% solids polyurethane resin is then applied with a notched squeegee. While wet colored EPDM granules 1-4mm are broadcast onto the surface. The finished track is one which exhibits tremendous durability, uncanny quickness and a remarkable appearance.
